The challenge was to create an identity that could communicate both the brand’s long industrial heritage and its relevance to a modern fashion audience. The company is not simply using hemp as a material — it controls the entire process behind it, making provenance, craftsmanship, technology, and more than a century of production history central to the brand story.

2016Hemperico is a heritage clothing brand producing garments from industrial hemp through a vertically integrated system — from its own fields and agricultural equipment to fiber processing, textile production, and finished apparel. With roots dating back to the 1890s, the brand combines more than a century of manufacturing experience with a contemporary approach to natural materials.
The visual identity was built around the contrast between agricultural heritage and contemporary fashion. Typography, graphic elements, photography, and material-focused details reference the company’s fields, machinery, factory, and historical production culture while maintaining a clean and modern aesthetic suitable for apparel, packaging, labels, retail environments, and digital communication.
The result is a distinctive fashion identity rooted in real production history rather than manufactured heritage. The system positions industrial hemp as a premium textile material and gives the brand a strong connection between its 1890s origins, vertically integrated manufacturing, and contemporary clothing collections.
